This system uses 12″ x 40″ mesh catalytic, high-activity granular activated carbon produced through steam activation of selected coconut shell charcoal. The catalytic properties of this media make it highly effective in reducing chloramines and hydrogen sulfide in potable water.

Its high micropore structure allows efficient reduction of low molecular weight organic compounds, along with chlorinated by-products such as chloroform and other trihalomethanes (THMs).
