• 20″ x 2.5″ Granular Activated Carbon Cartridge with Polypropylene Sediment Filtration Pads on Both Ends – A premium-quality coconut shell activated carbon cartridge commonly used for reverse osmosis prefiltration and various other water filtration applications.
• Carbon filtration is highly effective in reducing chlorine, unpleasant taste, odor, and color. It can also help in reducing a range of chemical contaminants. This cartridge is designed to fit heavy-duty 20″ filter housings.
• To maintain optimal system performance, the cartridge should be replaced regularly as required, typically every 6–12 months in most residential applications.
• Before placing a new cartridge into service, flush 3–5 gallons of water to drain in order to remove any loose carbon fines.
• Water flows from bottom to top, with the rubber gasket positioned at the top. Each cartridge is clearly marked with an arrow indicating the correct flow direction.
