Description

Water Filter Backwash System with Calcite/ Corosex – 1.0 Cubic Ft.

Acid neutralization is essential to prevent leaks, protect plumbing fixtures, and support overall health. Acidic water (pH below 7.0) can corrode plumbing and cause blue or green staining. It may also have negative health effects.

The system uses calcite to neutralize acidity. For pH levels below 6.0, a blend of calcite and Corosex is used. Corosex raises pH quickly, while calcite stabilizes it and prevents overcorrection.

Note: This process can slightly increase water hardness. A water softener may be required depending on existing conditions.

Since the media dissolves during use, it requires periodic replenishment, typically once a year.

The system operates with backwashing, where water flows in reverse to clean the media, remove trapped particles, and prevent compaction.
