Preloaded with anti-scale media, this cartridge prevents scale formation by converting dissolved hardness minerals into harmless, inactive microscopic crystal particles. These crystals remain suspended in the water and are flushed to the drain. The filter requires minimal maintenance, with no need for backwashing or salt. Common hardness-related issues—particularly scale build-up in heating elements, pipes, water heaters, boilers, and fixtures—are effectively reduced.

It helps prevent scale formation, improving efficiency and extending the lifespan of downstream equipment such as reverse osmosis membrane systems, water heaters, household appliances, coffee makers, ice machines, distillers, evaporators, steam generators, and other equipment affected by hard water.

The cartridge measures 2.75” in diameter and 10” in length, designed to fit standard 10-inch (SlimLine) filter housings. The external dimensions of these housings are approximately 4.5″ OD x 12″ H.

Capacity: Anti-scale cartridges do not have a defined grain removal capacity. However, the presence of other contaminants in the water may gradually reduce the effectiveness of the cartridge. It is recommended to replace the cartridge at least once every two years.
